PARLIAMENT-IVF PROVISION DEBATE- Tuesday 24th October

Following on from LGBT Mummies being in Parliament on the 23rd October for Kate Osborne’s MP Session where we presented and shared our recommendations and campaign asks for the Government, the Parliamentary Debate happened the following day.

Many of our presentation and recommendations were read out by Kate Osborne and Hannah barrel, and they shared our experience and that of what we said was required to support our community in creating our families equally.

What happened from there was some fantastic wins and moves to equity and equality for those who are a same sex couple accessing funded treatment, same sex couples not having to undergo additional testing when having fertility treatment, , those with HIV wishing to donate their Gametes and those who undergo Reciprocal IVF not having to pay for additional tests and have delays.

LGBT Mummies will be continuing to hold the Government, NHSE & DGSC to account and continuing with our campaigning alongside Stonewall and others until e acquire equity and equality in fertility funding access.
